How to Move Your Pet Fish Safely

Fishes are so sensitive to moves. That is why you need to see to it that they will be as comfortable during the move. You should also make sure that the tank would not get broken while in transit. To do so, you should pack it with a bubble wrap. Then instead of shipping it with the other things, you should put it at the boot of your car.    Other parts like the electric heaters and the lights should also be packed well too. And to avoid damage, you should let them cool down 15 minutes before you pack them and move. Filters, on the other hand, should be setup and be running as soon as you arrive though.   The fishes should never be shipped inside the tank. Instead the tank should be free of water. The fishes should be placed in polythene bags. You should use two just to be safe just in case the first one leaks. You should not feed the fish 24 hours before the move though to minimize waste during transport.   The fish tank plants should be bagged in tank water as well. This would keep the moisture in and keep them healthy while in transit.   And when you get to your new home, you should set up the tank just like you would a new tank. You should de-chlorinate the tank again. Then you should also monitor the fishes in the first few weeks of your stay there.
